Bishkek, Nov.1, 2024. /Kabar/. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Shakiev was awarded the 2nd degree Dostuk Order for his significant contribution to the strengthening and development of relations between the two Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.
The corresponding decree was signed by President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev.
The Order was presented in the Jogorku Kenesh by Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov within the framework of an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
Speaker Nurlanbek Shakiev expressed his gratitude for the award: “This award is a great honor for me and the Jogorku Kenesh I lead. We will continue to make further efforts to develop established ties and strengthen the friendship of fraternal peoples,” he said.
After the awarding ceremony, Nurlanbek Shakiev familiarized the deputies of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament, headed by Yerlan Koshanov with the activities of the Jogorku Kenesh and the meeting room.
