Parliamentary delegation visits Mausoleum of Kyrgyz in Turkey

Bishkek, July 18, 2019 / Kabar /. During the official visit to Turkey, a parliamentary delegation of Kyrgyzstan led by Speaker Dastanbek Dzhumabekov visited the Kyrgyz Mausoleum, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.

Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic met by Mayor of Iznik Kagan Mehmet Usta and other officials.

The Turkish chronicles said that the tomb was built in 1331 in memory of the Kyrgyz soldiers who died in the battles for the capture of the city of Iznik.

“The Kyrgyz mausoleum in the city of Iznik has become a symbol of brotherhood and friendship between the people of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. Our ancestors always rushed to help each other. May the fraternal ties between our countries grow stronger,” said Dzhumabekov at a meeting with the leadership of this city.

The delegation read the memorial prayer at the Mausoleum in memory of the Kyrgyz soldiers.

The official visit of the parliamentary delegation headed by Speaker Dastanbek Dzhumabekov to the Republic of Turkey takes place from July 15 to July 18.

The parliamentary delegation included deputies: Almazbek Akmatov, Iskander Gayipkulov, Ziyadin Zhamaldinov, Torobay Zulpukarov, Kanatbek Isaev, Talant Mamytov.
