Bishkek, Aug. 29, 2021 / Kabar /. Parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan will be held on Nov. 28, 2021.
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed the corresponding decree.
According to the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, adopted in a referendum on April 11, 2021, the Jogorku Kenesh will consist of 90 deputies and is elected for a term of 5 years.
The procedure for electing deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh is determined by constitutional law.
In accordance with the amendments made to the constitutional Law "On elections of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic", it is envisaged to conduct parliamentary elections by a mixed electoral system.
Thus, 54 deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh will elected according to a proportional system and 36 deputies are elected according to the majoritarian system.
