Abu Dhabi, Nov. 19, 2022 / Kabar/. The Global Media Congress under the theme “Shaping the Future of the Media Industry” has concluded its work in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
The three-day event, which organised by the ADNEC Group in partnership with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), brought together media representatives, specialists, speakers and investors from all over the world.
Participants of the event stressed the Global Media Congress was a good platform for cooperation and to discuss the challenges in the media industry.
Araks Kasyan, deputy director general of Armenpress also emphasized the importance of the congress.
“I think that the first edition of the Global Media Congress held in Abu Dhabi was very successful and fruitful event because of several reasons first of all it was a really good occasion to meet old friends and also to gain a new ones. Secondly, it’s a good platform to discuss the ideas about development of media and also to discuss what challenges are facing medias, news agencies, newspapers around the world. And the third one it’s a great opportunity to talk about new solutions that can make media more developed, more advanced in nowadays world,” she said.
Another participant of the congress from India, Ravi Khandelwal, executive producer of Asian News International (ANI) also highlighted the helpfulness of the congress.
“Since its launching edition of the Global Media Congress I think that they have started very nicely, bringing a lot of media companies, the technology companies at one platform. There are some events happening in some other countries as well. But I think in Abu Dhabi they have tried to bring the media of Middle East countries to have share their technology, the contents. Personally for ANI it was very helpful to engage with all these media groups like from the Middle East to have a sort of collaboration, having the news exchange. I think its the beginning, but it’s a good beginning,” he noted.
Held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, Global Media Congress provided the perfect platform for discussions on topics like digital communications, impact of artificial intelligence on contemporary media and the integration of advanced technology and innovation in the media sector.
The conference and workshops for young media persons provided the platform for journalists, tech firms, content creators, digital marketing professionals, streaming giants, entertainment executives, regulators and important media stakeholders to share ideas and exchange experiences.
Some 10,000 delegates and media companies took part in the event.
