Bishkek, Aug. 23, 2017. / Kabar /.The international Running of the world 2017 torch relay race of friendship, mutual understanding was held in Bishkek at the support of capital city’s Mayor’s Office, which is timed to the 26th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's Independence.
This torch relay united 6 oblasts in Kyrgyzstan at the first time, they are: Batken, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Talas, Chui and Issyk-Kul.
The runners started on August 10 in Batken, ran through Osh, Jalal-Abad, Talas, Bishkek and finished in Cholpon-Ata on August 25 of 2017.
The length of the race is 1 thousand 419 km.
Athletes from CIS countries like Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus take part in the race.
