Participants of Third People's Kurultai elect governing bodies of Kurultai

Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2024 . / Kabar / . At the Third People's Kurultai, which is taking place in Bishkek today, Myktybek Abdyldaev has been elected Chairman of the National Council.

In addition, deputies and 15 members of the Coucnil were elected from among the delegates of the Kurultai.

The participants also chose members of the counting commission and the working group to prepare a draft resolution of the general meeting of the People's Kurultai.

The Kurultai is attended by Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Nurlanbek Shakiev, members of Parliament, the full Cabinet of Ministers, the leadership of the judicial branch, all governors, mayors, heads of regions.

The regular meeting of the Third People's Kurultai is held in Bishkek on Dec. 20-21. It is attended by 700 delegates. Of these, 640 delegates from all regions of the republic, 30 delegates from ethnic groups and 30 from labor migrants abroad.

Participants of the meeting will discuss the results of the previous Kurultai and a number of topical issues.

Following the results, a resolution will be adopted.
