Passenger bus crashed into tree in Issyk-Kul Oblast, woman killed

Bishkek, Jan. 25, 2021. /Kabar/. In the village of Kurmenty, Tyup region of Issyk-Kul Oblast, a passenger minibus crashed into a tree, killing a woman, Kabar Agency has learnt from the press service of the Main Directorate for Road Safety.

The accident occurred on Sunday at about 3:20 p.m. on the 181st km of the Balykchy-Ananyevo-Karakol road.

"A driver, 49, failed to control and crashed into a tree. As a result, a woman, 53, was killed, and 9 other people were injured,” the report says.

According to the information, it was a passenger vehicle running along the Cholpon-Ata-Karakol route.

All the necessary examinations have been appointed, the investigation is underway.
