Bishkek, Jan.22, 2020. /Kabar/. Air passengers, arrived from China’s Urumqi, will be checked for coronavirus at the Manas International Airport, the press service of the airport said.
The Sanitary Quarantine Post (SQP) specialists at the airport are working with a thermal imaging camera to determine at a distance people with fever and suspected infectious diseases.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak in China, SQP specialists, using thermal imaging camera, check passengers of the Urumqi-Bishkek-Urumqi flight which operates every day.
"From Jan.23, 2020 to Feb. 1, 2020, the Urumqi-Bishkek-Urumqi flight will be suspended due to New Year celebrations in China," the report says.
Earlier, Director of the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Tolo Isakov told Kabar Agency that the epidemic is now under control.
In late December, Chinese authorities reported an outbreak of pneumonia of unknown origin in Wuhan city.
A new type of coronavirus, 2019-nCoV, has been tentatively identified as a pathogen. To date, the virus has also spread outside China. Cases of infection have been recorded in Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, USA, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.
