Bishkek, Feb. 16, 2020 / Kabar /. The ski season in Kyrgyzstan begins in December and lasts until April.

Kyrgyzstan is a country of celestial mountains, therefore it is not surprising that 23 ski resorts operate on the territory of the republic. 20 of them are located in Chui Oblast, 2 in Issyk-Kul and one in Naryn.

On the ski resorts there is the opportunity to ski on tracks of varying difficulty - from the kid to freeride and also enjoy passive tourism, because from the top of the cable car opens up an unique view.

Skiing in our country is becoming more popular. Skiing and snowboarding is a great alternative to weekly feasts and parties.

This year, ski resorts opened quite late, only by the end of December and since that time, a huge number of people who wanted to enjoy the mountain air and ride reached out to maountains.

The most popular in the country are two bases - Karakol and Chunkurchak, it is believed that they are not inferior to European resorts in terms of track level. A trip to Karakol will cost you from KGS 4000 (about USD 57), not including the equipment and the cost of the cable car, for this you will additionally have to pay at least another KGS 2000 (about USD 29).

The ski base in Chui Oblast will cost much cheaper - about KGS 2000 for everything together on weekdays and about KGS 3,000 (about USD 42) per person on weekends.

Of course, it is worth noting that the service at any of the ski resorts in Kyrgyzstan will not please you. But let’s not pay attention to the little things. Friends, enjoy the clean air and the beauty of the Kyrgyz mountains, they truly deserve attention!
