Bishkek, March 24, 2022 . / Kabar / . The Permanent Mission of Kyrgyzstan to the United Nations in New York City participated in the celebration of Nooruz jointly organized by Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, India, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Chairman of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly Abdulla Shahid and President of the UN Economic and Social Council Collen Kelapile, who delivered their congratulatory messages.
A video about the celebration of Nooruz in different countries of the world, including the Kyrgyz Republic, was presented during the celebration, after which permanent representatives of 12 countries delivered their congratulatory messages.
Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Aida Kasymalieva also delivered a congratulatory message and informed the participants of the event about the traditions of celebrating Nooruz in Kyrgyzstan.
