Bishkek, Dec. 15, 2021 . / Kabar / . A personal exhibition of two Kyrgyzstanis artists Aiyp Alakunov (painting) and Kiyal Akkuchukova (graphics) was held on Dec. 9 in the 55 Bellechasse art gallery in the center of Paris.
The pres service of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Culture reported that the exhibition will run until Dec. 18.
The exhibition features 32 works of different years in the genre of painting and drawing. Painting by Aiyp Alakunov is represented by 18 works, and graphics by Kiyal Akkuchukova - by 14 works.
This event was organized at the initiative of Kyrgyz Ambassador to France Sadyk Sher-Niyaz and with the support of the 55 Bellechasse Art Gallery and personally Bertrand Scholler.
The exhibition was the first of a series of planned exhibitions of Kyrgyz artists in France.
On Oct. 14, an exhibition of more than 60 artists dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Kyrgyz cinema was held at the Gapar Aitiev Museum of Fine Arts in Bishkek, and on Nov. 17 this exhibition, completed with new works, was held at the Philharmonic Hall to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Kyrgyz cinema and the 80th anniversary of Bolot Shamshiev.
After the exhibition, photos of all the works were sent to Paris for selection. As a result, the Art Gallery selected works by two artists - Aiyp Alakunov and Kiyal Akkuchukova.
