Phone talk held between FMs of Kyrgyzstan, UK

Bishkek, Oct.15, 2024. /Kabar/. A phone conversation was held on Tuesday between Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom David Lammy.

The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that during the talk, the sides discussed issues of Kyrgyz-British relations, particularly in the political, economic, investment spheres, as well as cooperation in the field of energy, ecology and climate change.

British Foreign Minister David Lammy drew attention to the latest court ruling against journalists. In turn, Minister Kulubaev noted that this decision was taken by the judicial bodies, which represent an independent branch of government.

At the end of the conversation, the foreign ministers expressed mutual agreement to maintain political contacts and continue work on organizing mutual visits.
