Osh, Nov. 29, 2018. /Kabar/. A photo exhibition and festival “Ene tili jana Aitmatov” (lit. mother tongue and Aitmatov) was held in the town of Nookat, Osh oblast in honor of the announced three-month campaign of the Kyrgyz language and the 90th anniversary of great Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov.
Niyazbek Kozuyev, Deputy Governor of Nookat region, representatives from the plenipotentiary representation in Osh oblast, representatives of educational institutions, representatives of culture and local residents took part in the events.
At the photo exhibition, handicrafts, handicrafts by artisans, sculptures and photographic portraits of artists were presented. In addition, a theatrical performance of the local theater based on one of the stories by Aitmatov was presented for the visitors at the festival.
Those who took an active part in the festival and photo exhibition received valuable prizes from the region administration.
