Photo report - Events dedicated to Aitmatov’s 90th anniversary in Bishkek

Bishkek, Dec. 12, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov visited the Ata-Beyit memorial complex on Wednesday and laid flowers on the grave of writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, the press service of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The country leader and persons accompanying him also laid flowers at the monument to the victims of political repression of 1937-1938, the monument to the memory of those killed during the tragic events of 1916 and the memorial to those who died in the People's April Revolution of 2010.

Further, a solemn gathering dedicated to the 90th anniversary of writer Aitmatov, where President Jeenbekov spoke, took place at Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Hall.

The event ended with a grand concert program.
