Bishkek, Dec. 27, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held a meeting of the Judicial Reform Council on Thursday, December 27.

The press service of the President’s Office reported that issues on the implementation of the Presidential Decree on Particular Measures Taken as Part of Ongoing Judicial Reform dated May 22, 2018 were considered and discussion of new draft laws of the Kyrgyz Republic took place.

Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Jenish Razakov, Chairman of the Supreme Court Gulbara Kaliyeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after Boris Yeltsin Chyara Musabekova, Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic Otkurbek Jamshitov, Chairman of the State Penitentiary Service Taalaibek Japarov, Minister of Internal Affairs Kashkar Dzhunushaliyev, Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Idris Kadyrkulov, and Chairman of the SSCEC (State Service for Combating Economic Crimes) Bakir Tairov provided information on the matter.

Members of the Judicial Reform Council, deputies of the Kyrgyz Parliament Tynchtykbek Shainazarov, Emil Toktoshev, Maksat Sabirov, deputy head of the expert working group Gulmira Mamatkerimova and other members of the working group made proposals.

Following the meeting, a draft decision of the Judicial Reform Council was adopted, taking into account the proposals.
