Bishkek, Mar. 29, 2019. /Kabar/. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin paid a state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic on Thursday, March 28.
President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov welcomed the leader of Russia Vladimir Putin at Manas International Airport.
The official welcoming ceremony for Jeenbekov and Putin took place at Ala-Archa state residence.
The heads of the two states held talks in a narrow format first, then Kyrgyz-Russian negotiations were held in an expanded format with the participation of members of the delegations of the two countries.
Following the talks, the heads of Kyrgyzstan and Russia signed a joint statement. In addition, a number of important bilateral documents were signed.
In addition, the Presidents made a joint statement for the press.
In the framework of the state visit, Jeenbekov and Putin visited the house-museum of Chyngyz Aitmatov in Bishkek.
Heads of State also participated in the 8th Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference. Kyrgyzstan and Russia signed bilateral agreements worth more than $ 6 billion.
At the end of the state visit of the Russian leader, the Presidents of the two countries laid wreaths at the Eternal Flame at Victory Square in Bishkek.
