Bishkek, May 8, 2020. /Kabar/. One case of coronavirus infection among medical workers has been recorded today at the National Center of Oncology of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the press service of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus Infection in the Kyrgyz Republic, medical workers who have been in close contact with COVID-19 physician have been identified, they have taken swab for PCR analysis, all of them will be monitored.
No contacts have been revealed among population, as this doctor was on leave without pay and did not receive patients. Also, according to the order of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, admission of planned patients is cancelled until May 10.
Epidemiological work continues, after the disinfection works the polyclinic will work in normal mode.
As of May 8, Kyrgyzstan has reported 11 new cases of novel coronavirus, a total of 906, of which 226 are cases among medical personnel.
650 citizens have cured and discharged from hospitals.
12 have passed away.
