Bishkek, Nov. 24, 2020 / Kabar /. A capsule was laid for the construction of a plant quarantine laboratory in Batken on November 21, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The ceremony was attended by Batken Governor Zhanybek Zhalalov and Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation Tilek Toktogaziev.
“This laboratory will allow identifying harmful organisms, predicting and controlling the development and spread of diseases, which can directly affect the loss of crops and losses of commodity producers. The laboratory will conduct examinations of samples of both domestic and imported material,” Toktogaziev said.
He noted that this will also significantly simplify the work of agricultural producers and entrepreneurs, since now all products for examination have to be sent to the city of Osh.
