Plane heading to Yekaterinburg returned to Bishkek because of smoke in cabin

Bishkek, Jan. 23, 2021. /Kabar/. The Ural Airlines airplane that departed from Bishkek returned to Manas airport because of smoke in the cabin, the press service of the Kyrgyz Transport Ministry said.

"Airbus 320 of Ural Airlines left the Manas airport on Jan. 23 at 2:00 p.m., but after 12 minutes returned back because of smoke in the cabin,” the report said.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the reasons for the smoke are now being investigated.

"The aircraft will not depart from the airport until causes are identified and eliminated,” the press service of the ministry reported.

The plane arrived in Bishkek with 42 passengers from Krasnoyarsk, and flew to Yekaterinburg without passengers, there was only the crew on board.
