Plans on emergency prevention for 2025 discussed in Kazakhstan’s Almaty

Bishkek, Dec.26, 2024. /Kabar/. The 15th meeting of the Council of the Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction took place in Almaty, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of the Kyrgyz Emergency Ministry Urmatbek Shamyrkanov and Minister of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan Chingis Arinov.

The meeting presented the results of the Center's work for 2024, a report on budget execution, as well as information on the implementation of projects in the field of civil protection, adaptation to climate change and introduction of information and communication technologies in the countries of Central Asia.

Following the meeting, the Council considered personnel issues and approved the budget for 2025.

“The Council decided to intensify the work of the Center for more effective use of its potential in the implementation of international programs and projects. In addition, joint actions for 2025 in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations were determined,” the report said.

The meeting ended with the signing of the relevant decision of the Center's Council.
