Bishkek, Feb. 23, 2024. /Kabar/. At the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister Sanzhar Bolotov and Advisor on Trade and Economic Issues of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kyrgyz Republic Yu Zhigang.
The parties discussed the prospects for trade and economic cooperation in the field of increasing the export potential of Kyrgyzstan. Bolotov noted that the Kyrgyz Export Center for Development and Promotion of Exports had been established under the ministry and informed that the Center would work closely with the Chinese side to create appropriate conditions for increasing the volume of exports of Kyrgyz goods and services to China.
The parties also discussed issues of promoting projects under a grant from the Chinese government. The Kyrgyz side noted the special significance of these projects, due to the fact that these projects are planned for implementation in priority sectors such as healthcare, agriculture and transport infrastructure.
In turn, the Chinese side expressed its readiness to assist in their promotion and speedy implementation.
In addition, the parties discussed planned joint activities to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. As part of joint events, it is planned that representatives of the private sector of the two countries will participate in exhibitions and forums.
Following the meeting, both parties expressed hope for continued fruitful cooperation and the effective implementation of joint projects.
