Bishkek, Jan.17, 2025. /Kabar/. Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Sydykov signed an Investment Agreement on the implementation of the investment project for the construction of a plant for the production of continuous basalt fiber.
The ministry reported that this agreement provides for the construction of the plant in Chui Oblast of the country, which will be an important stage in the development of industrial production and attracting investment in the country's economy.
Within the framework of the project realization, Basalt Evotek LLC plans to:
- invest USD 34 million for the construction of the plant;
- create at least 70 new jobs by the launch of the plant and at least 130 additional jobs when the plant reaches full capacity.
The planned production capacity of the plant will be up to 5,000 tons of products per year.
Introduction of modern technologies and production of high-quality continuous basalt fiber will contribute to improving the export potential of the Kyrgyz Republic and increasing its industrial competitiveness.
