Bishkek, Jan.29, 2020. /Kabar/. “Work Without Borders” platform for the registration of labour migrants will be created within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan Kamaldin Toktosartov said during the session of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament).
MP Ulan Primov asked whether migrant workers abroad are considered unemployed in Kyrgyzstan.
The deputy labour minister said that in accordance with the Kyrgyz Law, migrant workers abroad are officially considered unemployed.
Besides, Kamaldin Toktosartov said the decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission to open the "Work Without Borders" platform has been issued.
"In this platform, the State Migration Service and our Ministry are working. This year we will take our first steps. As part of this work, we will see the picture of workers in the EAEU section," he said.
MP Ulan Primov suggested introducing the notion of officially unemployed and migrant workers into the Law.
