Bishkek, Feb.3, 2020. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev held a regular meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Government’s press service said on Monday.

During the meeting, information on measures taken was presented by heads of the Ministries of Health, Foreign Affairs, Emergency Situations, State Border Service, State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Security, State Service for Combating Economic Crimes of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Health Minister Kosmosbek Cholponbayev said no confirmed cases of coronavirus have been recorded the republic so far, and the epidemiological situation is stable.

He said in the near future, Kyrgyz medics expect to receive special reagents from Russian and Chinese colleagues to detect coronavirus within a few hours.
Prime Minister Abylgaziev instructed to continue enhance monitoring the epidemiological situation in the country, and pointed out the need to ensure a clear implementation of the whole range of preventive measures. He also noted this issue is under the control of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
The head of the Government stressed that, according to the plan, ministries, departments and local authorities should take additional measures to strengthen sanitary and quarantine control at checkpoints on the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic, to work out an algorithm of actions in case of suspected coronavirus.
"We are focused on close cooperation with the Chinese side in order to quickly overcome coronavirus infection. The authorities of China are taking active measures that can stop the spread of the virus and minimize its damage. The Foreign Ministry, Health Ministry and Emergencies Ministry need to work out the issue of providing humanitarian assistance to Chinese partners," the prime minister said.
At the end of the meeting, PM Abylgaziev gave a number of specific instructions, in particular, to carry out daily monitoring of the epidemiological situation and control over people arriving in the country from China and other countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is instructed to continue working with the citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who are on the territory of China, to provide the necessary assistance to protect their rights and health.
