Bishkek, Apr. 24, 2020. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev visited dairy processing plant in Tokmok town.
The visit took place as part of the PM’s working trip to Chui Oblast, the Government’s press service said.
Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev stressed that the plant has a unique history and that the launch of production is a landmark event.
"The plant was built in 1974 and has a rich history. After the collapse of the USSR, work at the plant was suspended. I am very glad that today, thanks to investors, the dairy plant has started working again. The production capacity of the enterprise is 250 tons of milk per day and 5 thousand tons of finished products per month, 90% of which will be exported. The plant works with the most advanced European technologies that ensure high quality products and safety," the Kyrgyz PM noted.
He inspected the hardware shop, combined butter and solid cheese production plant, skimmed milk powder and milk bottling.
Today the plant employs about 100 people. At full production start-up, up to 600 workplaces will be created at the plant.
Investments in the enterprise exceeded USD 1.5 million. Buildings and structures have been repaired and equipment modernized at the plant.
The Kyrgyz PM noted that work is currently under way to support the plant through the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
In addition, as part of a trip to Chui Oblast, Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev visited a flour mill in Tokmok town, which specializes in processing grain and producing flour and pasta.
The prime minister inspected the production premises, warehouses and got acquainted with the possibilities of the enterprise.
The capacity of grain processing at the enterprise is 250 tons per day, the output of finished products is 90 tons per day.
Abylgaziev stressed the need to support domestic producers, who, in turn, should also seek to supply the market with quality goods at affordable prices.
