Bishkek, July 2, 2020. /Kabar/. Tomorrow, July 3 Bishkek will receive 500 oxygen concentrates from China, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov said a briefing Thursday.
According to him, at the moment the situation in the country is very complicated. There are many patients with community - acquired pneumonia with negative results for coronavirus at hospitals.
"We were previously predicting that there would be a problem with the shortage of ventilators. But the situation over the last 10 days has shown that we need oxygen concentrators. We are also dealing with this issue," he said.
The prime minister added the country now has 572 ventilators and 610 oxygen concentrators.
"500 oxygen concentrates are expected to arrive tomorrow on plane from China. I've been informed that it will be enough to fully cover the needs of Bishkek. Besides, we have ordered another 500 units, which will arrive within a week," he said.
Besides, 63 ventilators and 111 oxygen concentrators were received as donor assistance.
The Government also allocated an additional KGS 50 million to purchase the necessary medical supplies.
