Bishkek, July 14, 2020. /Kabar/. At a briefing today, Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov told about the country's reserves of ventilators and oxygen concentrators.
According to him, about 1,500 oxygen concentrators have been received recently, and before delivery, there were 700 units in the republic.
"Thus, the state alone has 2 thousand 200 oxygen concentrators. Besides, more than 1 thousand units were received from private entrepreneurs. In total, there are 3 thousand oxygen concentrators in Kyrgyzstan,” he said.
The Health Ministry estimates that Kyrgyzstan needs 2 thousand 200 oxygen concentrators.
"Tomorrow, 200 more units should arrive. On July 20, we expect 400 oxygen concentrators from Qatar which will distributed among regions,” the prime minister noted.
As for ventilators, Boronov said Kyrgyzstan has 572 such devices.
"I want to note that ventilators are used at the last stage of treatment, when the lungs can no longer work independently. We have seen need in oxygen concentrators," the prime minister concluded.
