Bishkek, April 29, 2021 . / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov, who is in Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation) for a working visit and Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation.
PM Maripov noted that the first foreign visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Russian on Feb. 24 this year gave a new impetus to the traditionally high dynamics of the strategic partnership, the Kyrgyz Government’s press service said.
"I would like to express gratitude to the Russian side for providing the first batch of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V on a grant basis. Since April 1, 2021, our country has officially joined the COVID-19 Free Travel digital platform,” the head of the Kyrgyz Government noted.
Given that the COVID-19 pandemic has made certain adjustments to the implementation of activities planned within the Cross Year of Kyrgyzstan in Russian and Russia in Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister Ulukbek Maripov invited his Russian counterpart to pay an official visit to the republic this fall to participate in the closing ceremony of the Cross Year to be held in Bishkek.
