Poisoning in Dzhalal-Abad: Three more people died

Bishkek, March 4, 2021. / Kabar /. Three more people died of poisoning in Aksy region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast, the press service of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan said.

Four people with food poisoning appealed on Thursday to Aksy territorial hospital, three of whom died despite resuscitation measures. One patients is receiving treatment in the therapy department. His condition is assessed as stable and of medium severity.

In addition, three more people injured died at home.

The Department for Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, said that on March 2, 2021, 19 people (residents of Kara-Suu village) were having a lunch from 1:30 p.m. to 4:40 p.m. in a cafe located on the territory of Aksy region.

According to the those injured, they ate salad, beshbarmak (meat-and-flour dish) and drank alcohol diluted with water.

“At present, a team of specialists from the state epidemiological surveillance and the territorial hospital are jointly conducting an epidemiological investigation and door-to-door rounds of the other participants of the feast. Additional information will be given on the results of the epidemiological investigation,” specialist of the Department for Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Bubuzhan Arykbayeva said.
