Bishkek, Oct. 5, 2020 / Kabar /. The participants of the protest action in Bishkek, who were against the results of the parliamentary elections, has begun to storm the Parliament Building. The police began to disperse the crowd.
At the moment, presumably, shots are heard. Also the police use tear gas. Law enforcement officers are lined up around the Parliament building.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that among the participants of the action there are people who drank alcoholic beverages, therefore they called on the protesters to disperse.
The ministry released a warning that in case of a threat to the health of citizens or other destructive manifestations, the responsibility falls on the organizers of the protest action, in particular the leaders of several political parties and their active members.
"Therefore, we call on the protesters to disperse in order to ensure the safety of citizens and not disturb their peace,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
The protesters came to Ala-Too Square and demanded not to recognize the results of the elections that took place yesterday, Oct. 4.
According to data of the Central Election Commission, five parties surpassed the 7 percent threshold to receive seats in the country's parliament. The rest 11 parties demand to annul the election results.
