Bishkek, April 12, 2024 / Kabar/. A meeting was held at the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic with Consul of the Russian Embassy Andrey Buryev.

During the meeting, the Kyrgyz side expressed concern about the actions of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation regarding members of the family of the counselor to the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Moscow, who grossly violated the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.

“Such actions against accredited employees of the diplomatic mission of the Kyrgyz Republic by Russian law enforcement agencies are unacceptable and require thorough investigation and bringing the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible,” the Foreign Ministry noted.

In turn, Consul of the Russian Embassy Andrey Buryev expressed regret over this fact and said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation has received an official Note from the Kyrgyz side, on the basis of which the necessary verification is currently being carried out, based on the results of which the Kyrgyz side will be informed.

It became known from social networks that on April 8, police officers illegally searched the apartment of a counselor at the Kyrgyz Embassy in Russia. Even after the diplomat presented his diplomatic passports, the police continued to aggressively demand documents for migration registration. In addition, they broke down the door, inflicted bodily harm on the wife of the adviser and frightened the children.
