Bishkek, Nov. 4, 2021 . / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kuwait met on Tuesday Azamat Karagulov met with Minister of Interior of Kuwait Sheikh Tamer Al Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah to get acquainted and discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that Ambassador Karagulov introduced the minister to the current level of development of Kyrgyz-Kuwaiti relations, the results achieved and future plans of the parties.
He also spoke about the tasks of intensifying interagency relations, including through the Interior Ministries of the two countries and preparations for the signing of a bilateral agreement between the Kyrgyz, Kuwait Interior Ministries during the planned visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Kuwait City.
Sheikh Tamer Al Sabah praised the active efforts of the embassy and expressed readiness for close interagency cooperation. He also noted as a priority the need for joint action to combat terrorism and extremism, money laundering and suppression of financing of international terrorist organizations.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed the prospects of including the Kyrgyz Republic in the list of states whose citizens can apply for a Kuwaiti visa online.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Karagulov expressed the openness of the Kyrgyz side to international initiatives of Kuwait in the field of security, and invited Sheikh Tamer Al Sabah to visit Kyrgyzstan.
