Bishkek, Apr. 27, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Korea discussed the possibility of opening direct Bishkek-Seoul-Bishkek flight, the press service of the Kyrgyz Embassy in the Republic of Korea said.
Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Korea Dinara Kemelova held initial negotiations with the delegation of South Korean T'way Airline, led by President Hong-Geun Jung.
During the meeting, Kemelova also noted the possibility of linkage Bishkek city through connecting flights with cities of Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and other countries of Southeast Asia, which will allow to reduce flight time.
"The head of the South Korean airline, noting the great prospects of air services opening, expressed his intention to begin substantive negotiations with the relevant agencies of Kyrgyzstan by the end of this year, and flights - from spring 2021.
The interlocutors also agreed that opening of direct air service between Kyrgyzstan and South Korea will give an impetus to tourism development and expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries," the report says.
A direct flight between Bishkek and Incheon Airport was opened in February.
T'way Airlines received the right to traffic rights on Incheon-Kyrgyzstan route - twice a week.
T'way Airlines operates international flights to 50 destinations, including 9 cities in Japan.
