Postal services of Kyrgyzstan and China agree to expand cooperation

Bishkek, Aug. 18, 2023. /Kabar/. An Agreement was signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) of China on expanding cooperation between the postal services of the two countries, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic said.

The agreement was signed following negotiations between the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov and member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Communist Party of the XUAR of China Ma Xingrui.

The document was adopted to develop cross-border electronic commerce and enhance the promotion of expedited mail in order to speed up the process of border control of international mail and the transportation of goods of international electronic commerce.

From the Kyrgyz side, the agreement was signed by Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev.

The objectives of the agreement are to further develop friendly neighborly relations between Kyrgyzstan and China, to promote the development of economic cooperation between the two countries on the basis of the principles of mutual benefit and equality, and to create conditions for the comprehensive development of trade.

The Agreement opens the prospects for joint work with China on the development of e-commerce, given that China has made significant progress in cross-border e-commerce and has accumulated valuable experience and knowledge.
