Power supply being gradually restored in Kyrgyzstan: minister

Bishkek, Jan. 25, 2022 . / Kabar / . Electricity supply in Kyrgyzstan will be fully restored in stages, Minister of Energy of the country Doskul Bekmurzaev said during a press conference on Tuesday.

According to him, currently 50% of electricity is supplied to the country.

Minister Bekmurzaev noted that Kyrgyzstan's power system is working reliably.

"No accidents at hydropower plants and thermal power plants have been registered. Now power engineers are working to restore electricity," he added.

This afternoon there was a power blackout in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

According to the press service of the National Energy Holding of Kyrgyzstan, the accident occurred in one of the countries of the United Energy System of Central Asia.
