Bishkek, Nov. 30, 2019. / Kabar /. Within the framework of the international project “Osh - the cultural capital of the Turkic world”, a presentation of the Manas epic translated into Uzbek, was held on the eve of Osh State University, the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The event was attended by Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Azamat Zhamankulov, Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Kamola Akilova, representative of Kyrgyzstan in the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Kozhogeldi Kultegin, vice mayor of Osh Nurbek Kadyrov, translator of Manas into Uzbek language writer – poet of Uzbekistan Zukhriddin Isomiddinov, representatives of the scientific field, writers and cultural workers and university students.
At the beginning of the event, on the site in front of the main building of Osh State University, the cultural program Manas Rukh was demonstrated prepared by students of universities in Osh city and a book exhibition was opened.
As part of the event, the production of the performance “Aikol Manas”, a concert program prepared by the talented youth of Osh State University and the city culture department was held. In addition, Manas narrators read excerpts from the Manas epic.
During the presentation of the epic, the importance of translating the great work into the Uzbek language was noted and the participants expressed gratitude to the writer and akyn from Uzbekistan of the epic, Zukhriddin Isomiddinov, who translated the abridged version of the Manas epic by Beksultan Zhakiev.
On November 30, the Osh National Drama Theater named after Ibraimov will host the closing ceremony of the year “Osh - the cultural capital of the Turkic world - 2019”, the 37th meeting of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY and a number of cultural events.
