Presentation of book "Essays on History of Soviet Diplomacy in Kirghizia" to be held

Bishkek, Dec. 19, 2017 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) named after Boris Yeltsin will host a presentation of the book "Essays on the History of Soviet Diplomacy in Kirghizia " on Dec. 21. The book is written by Professor Ishengul Bolzhurova and Zh Bokonbayeva, the KRSU press service reported.

A large unexamined archival materials and periodicals are introduced to an academic area for the first time by the authors of the research. These are history of personalities, their conversations and facts of those who worked on diplomatic path during Kirghiz SSR. Among them are following foreign ministers Sh. Tayanov, M. Mambetakunov, K. Dyikanbaev, S. Begmatov, K. Konduchalova.

Materials of following diplomatic missions are published- M. Frunze and Y. Abdrakhmanov, portraits of young Kyrgyz diplomats Z. Turdukulov, A. Tilebaliyev, R. Isakov, I. Abdurazakov, B. Iskhakov, M. Saralinov and others are given.

For the first time in the historiography of Kyrgyzstan, events of following well known people’s visit to Kyrgyzstan are described- R. Kennedy, U. Douglas, R. Gandhi, Ho Chi Minh, Prince of Iran A.Pehlevi, WK Kekkonen and M.Koivisto.

Authors of the publication convincingly prove that during the Soviet era the Kirghiz SSR was known far beyond its borders as a country that eliminated illiteracy in a short period of time by rapidly developing industry, the agrarian sector of the economy and by building new cities and settlements. Arts and culture flourish in these years, universities, libraries and theaters start working. The work of Boldzhurova and Bokonbaeva is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution.
