Bishkek, Aug. 10, 2022. / Kabar /. A presentation of the Manas trilogy in English is held at the National Library in Bishkek, the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The trilogy was translated by a citizen of the United States of America, a master's student at University of Montana Akylai Baimatova based on the textbook of Mar Baidzhiev.
The event was attended by Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Azamat Zhamankulov, director of the Kyrgyz National Manas Theater Aziz Biymyrza uulu, well-known public and cultural figures.
During the presentation, Azamat Zhamankulov said that today events are being held at the state level to glorify and preserve the Manas epic.
“The translation of the epic into foreign languages and the publication of the book are also a great contribution to the work being done in this direction,” he said.
In addition, the minister noted that the number of scientists interested in the study of the art of storytelling is growing and thanked everyone who contributes to the glorification of the epic.
At the end of the event, the Manas epic was narrated in English.
