President Atambayev instructs to reduce credit interest rates

Bishkek, April 11 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev met today with chairman of the National Bank of the republic Tolkunbek Abdygulov the President’s press service reported.

Tolkunbek Abdygulov told the President about the measures taken by the National Bank to assist in development of economy of the country and to reduce credit interest rates.

«Since the beginning of the year, the total amount of funds proposed by the National Bank for financing of projects in industry, agriculture, trade, construction, tourism, transport and communications, as well as in the services sector amounted to 3 billion soms. The maximum rate on these loans made 12 %," Tolkunbek Abdygulov said.

President Atambayev emphasized the need to take measures to reduce interest rates and provide the economy with affordable resources to promote long-term economic growth of the country.
