President Atambayev leaves for Uzbekistan for state visit

Bishkek, Oct. 5, 2017 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev left today for Tashkent, Uzbekistan for a state visit.

During the state visit, the Kyrgyz and Uzbek leaders will hold talks in narrow and expanded formats on topical issues of Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations, the Kyrgyz President's press service reported.

Within the visit, the exhibition of industrial products of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan is expected to be held.

During the visit, it is planned to sign the Protocol on the exchange of ratification instruments under the Agreement on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border. Also, the Heads of State will sign the Declaration on Strengthening Friendship, Good-Neighborliness and Confidence between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

As a result of the visit, it is planned to sign a package of bilateral documents related to cooperation in the field of security, defense, combating economic crimes, the procedure for carrying out customs operations when moving goods and cargo, exchange statistical data, and agreements between border areas and information agencies.
