Brussels, Feb. 16 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev met on Thursday with President of the European Council Donald Tusk.
The meeting took place in Brussels in the framework of the working visit of the Kyrgyz leader to Belgium and Germany.
During the meeting the sides discussed the issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union in areas of mutual interest, as well as plans for further cooperation.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on the forthcoming presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan.
Earlier Atambayev met with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
The meeting was also attended by Kyrgyz delegation members: Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev, chief of the foreign policy department of the President’s Office Aizada Subakozhoeva, Kyrgyzstan's Ambassador to Belgium, Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic at the Commission of the European Communities in Brussels Asein Isayev and presidential adviser Kalykbek Sultanov.
