Bishkek, Dec.25, 2019. /Kabar/. Recently, high-level bilateral relations with China have been improving, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov said during the press conference, held at the Ala-Archa state residence in Bishkek.
According to the President, this year, high-level bilateral meetings with the Chinese leadership were held. Thus, within the framework of the Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO Summit in Bishkek on June 14), Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Kyrgyzstan, and the Kyrgyz leader paid a number of visits to China.
"As part of this state visit, a strategic document on development of bilateral relations and documents worth USD 7 billion were signed. We are working to improve neighborhood relations with all neighboring countries. China invests in large projects in Kyrgyzstan. Recently, high-level bilateral relations with China have been improving, and we continue working on it," Jeenbekov said.
The Kyrgyz President’s press conference took place today, Dec.25 at the Ala-Archa state residence in Bishkek.
A total of 188 journalists have been accredited for the event.
Of these, 160 journalists are from 77 national media and 28 journalists - from 15 foreign media, accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
It was the second press conference of Sooronbay Jeenbekov as the President.
