Bishkek, Dec. 26, 2018. /Kabar/. President Sooronbay Jeenbekov congratulated all the children of Kyrgyzstan today, speaking at the main New Year's celebration – the presidential New-Year show.
The performance for young spectators took place in the large hall of the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic named after Toktogul Satylganov in Bishkek. The head of state, together with the First Lady, came to the morning celebration, accompanied by two small guests in national costumes, and took their seats of honor. The hall, full of children, met the hosts of the celebration, standing and applauding.
Vivid symbols and recognizable characters from the works of Chyngyz Aitmatov were taken as the basis of the New Year's performance. So, the story began with memories of how in childhood the writer’s grandmother told him fairy tales, which later became the basis for some of his books. The little guests enthusiastically greeted each of the characters.
At the end of the pre-New Year tale, the President was invited on stage. He sincerely congratulated those present in the hall and all the children of Kyrgyzstan on the coming New Year, expressing warm wishes.
“The year 2018 is coming to an end, taking its place in the history of our beloved country, as one of the significant and special periods. Just around the corner is the new 2019, and after a few days it will begin a new page in our history. I would like to congratulate you and all the children of Kyrgyzstan from the bottom of my heart on the coming New Year – a holiday that you are very much looking forward to,” he began with excitement, expressing wishes for good health, long life and fulfillment of all innermost desires and goals.
The President encouraged children to love their country and be patriots ready to work for its bright future.
“I am immensely happy to be here with you now, and I would like to share this happiness with everyone. We have seen an interesting fairy tale, I hope you liked it. I’ve been watching it with great attention and was proud that it is based on the works of Chyngyz Torokulovich Aitmatov. On your behalf and on my own behalf, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the entire team that worked on the creation of a new New Year legend,” the head of state added, noting the talent and skill of young performers, as well as the professionalism of famous masters of art.
The President also recalled that Kyrgyzstan and the whole world had been celebrating the 90th anniversary of great Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov this year, and his life path is an outstanding example for the young generation who are ready to conquer great heights.
“Our famous compatriot, great thinker and man of wisdom has glorified our country to the whole world, and I wish you to pave the way for equally bright life. Chyngyz Torokulovich Aitmatov, our father, should become a worthy example and idol for you,” he said.
Jeenbekov expressed the belief that young guests in the hall will soon be able to find their life's calling, and in the future they will use their knowledge, skills and talents to develop the country in various fields. For this, as the President suggested to children, it is always better to listen to the words of adults - parents, teachers, coaches.
1,100 school-age children from all the regions of the country, including ‘A’ grade students, winners of competitions, international contests and tournaments, residents of the children's homes, and children with disabilities, were guests of the presidential New-Year show.
