Bishkek, June 19, 2020. /Kabar/. Speaking at a Security Council meeting Friday, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov demanded that members of the Government pay fines for violating the mask regime.

He stressed that irresponsible statements that "the authorities are making money on this disease, which does not exist" are a reason for citizens to doubt the existence of this illness.

"Not only that, but also members of the Government themselves, in violation of all the requirements of the mask regime and social distance, are photographed and hugged. A photo, which shows the members of the Government without respecting the social distance and masks got around the country. Such actions will negate all our efforts," said Jeenbekov with regret, and demanded to fine all those who have violated the requirements of physicians.

"Appropriate measures should not be taken against ordinary employees of the Government Office. They have, I believe, come at the command of their superiors. You all have to pay the fine," said Jeenbekov.

He called for accountability of all citizens, as some of them, distributing false information nullify the daily efforts of physicians.

"As the head of state, I urge every compatriot to take full responsibility for the situation and take care of himself and his relatives," Sooronbay Jeenbekov said.

Today, June 19 Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held meeting of the Security Council with the participation of heads of several state bodies.

The Security Council meeting considered the current epidemiological situation in the country.
