President discusses regional development with Ak-Sai village residents

Bishkek, May 28, 2021 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with residents of Ak-Sai village of Batken region, Batken Oblast, his press service said Friday.

The Kyrgyz leader discussed with local residents the issues of development of the region and answered their questions of interest.

"The state will continue to pay close attention to the residents of Batken Oblast, I will continue to focus my efforts on the socio-economic development of the region, ensuring border security. We intend to improve the well-being of local residents, in addition, the state is doing everything possible to resolve issues with the state border. Measures have been taken in this direction, interstate government commissions are working," stressed the president.

In turn, residents noted that Ak-Sai village is the heart of Batken Oblast. They added there are many unresolved social issues, but the most important thing at the moment is to maintain peace and security.

Local residents also named the construction of social facilities, improvement of village infrastructure, payment of benefits and pensions, job creation, land transformation, etc. among the priority issues.

President Zhaparov spoke in detail about measures to create conditions in the regions to prevent young people from going abroad to work. In order to solve this problem, the leadership of the country intends to give a special status to BatkenOblast.

He assured that special attention will continue to be paid to Batken Oblast in terms of the construction of social facilities and necessary infrastructure.
