President discusses with minister issue of digitalization of education system

Bishkek, June 3, 2021 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met on Thursday with Minister of Education and Science Bolotbek Kupeshev, his press service said.

Issues of scientific human resources capacity, digitalization of the education system, an inventory of legislation in the field of education and science, as well as the current state and prospects of development of this sector were discussed.

The president stressed the importance of early development and preschool education, which are important stages in the formation of the child as a person.

In this regard, Sadyr Zhaparov noted the need to identify priorities, effective organizational and pedagogical conditions that will further improve and implement the Concept of Education Development in the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030.

In addition, given the complaints received from some parents, the Kyrgyz leader emphasized the need to improve the system of electronic queuing in schools, making the registration process as efficient and transparent as possible, especially in Bishkek.

Kupeshev informed that as part of implementation of the requirements of the Decree "On spiritual and moral development and physical upbringing of personality," the Concept of spiritual and moral development and physical upbringing of schoolchildren and youth, educational standards and introduce subjects of ethics, aesthetics, physical culture and education of preschoolers, schoolchildren and students will be revised taking into account modern requirements.

The education minister also told about the stage of the project for the construction of Russian-speaking schools with the assistance of the Russian Federation.

Thus, nine settlements with land plots for construction of schools were identified. At the first stage it was decided to begin construction of three schools: in the cities of Osh and Karakol and Sokuluk region of Chui Oblast.

Further, construction will be carried out in Batken Oblast, Talas Oblast, Naryn Oblast, Jalal-Abad Oblast, Osh Oblast and in one of the residential areas of Bishkek city.

As a result of the meeting, Sadyr Zhaparov set a number of specific tasks for the education minister to further improve the sphere of science and education in Kyrgyzstan.
