President discusses with PM measures to combat novel coronavirus

Bishkek, July 27, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, July 27 President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov held an online meeting with Prime Minister of the country Kubatbek Boronov.

The current epidemiological situation in the country and measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection were discussed during the meeting, the press service of the Kyrgyz President reported.

Kubatbek Boronov noted that specialists are developing a new treatment protocol taking into account international experience.

Russian specialists, who train local physicians in modern methods of intensive care, also provide great assistance in combating the outbreak of the disease.

Work on installation of computer tomography equipment in each region of the country is underway, currently it is available in the cities of Bishkek and Osh only.

The prime minister also informed about the results of working trip to Osh Oblast, where he visited day hospitals and took part in laying the capsule for the construction of a new infectious diseases hospital in Osh city.

President Jeenbekov drew attention to the immediate removal of shortcomings in the provision of personal protective equipment, equipment and meals to medical workers.

He stressed the importance of timely payment of compensations to families of doctors who died in the performance of their duties, as well as the equal distribution of international humanitarian aid by region, digitalization of data, provision of necessary medicines and medical products to the regions.

Besides, the Kyrgyz leader highlighted the process of preparing for the new school year in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, recommending that the Government keep the repair of emergency school buildings under continuous review.

Jeenbekov also noted the importance of allocating budget funds to priority projects - repairing old hospitals and emergency schools and building roads in regions.
