Bishkek, June 18, 2020 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held Thursday a working meeting on implementing judicial and legal reform in the country, his press service reported.
Chairman of the Supreme Court Gulbara Kaliyeva, First Deputy PM Almazbek Baatyrbekov, Prosecutor General Otkurbek Dzhamshitov, heads of state bodies and members of expert working group on monitoring of judicial and legal reform measures participated in the meeting.
The President noted that despite the coronavirus pandemic, the implementation of all measures within the framework of the judicial and legal reform should be carried out in time and should be completed on time.
He stressed the need to implement the Unified Register of Crimes and Misdemeanours (URCM) automated information system as soon as possible with regard to the judicial and court enforcement blocks and probation, adding that the URCM is a key element of the entire reform, on which its effectiveness depends.
The meeting also considered the implementation of the Unified Register of Violations (URV) automated information system.
Sanjar Isabayev, Head of the Judicial Reform and Law Enforcement Department of the President’s Office presented information on the current state and the most problematic aspects in the implementation of judicial and legal reform.
The Kyrgyz leader once again drew attention of heads of the involved state bodies to the strict implementation of the previously planned activities.
The importance to strengthen the cooperation between the relevant structures for the prompt and effective implementation of the measures within the framework of the judicial and legal reform was noted.
The results of these instructions will be summed up at the meeting of the Council on Judicial Reform in September 2020.
