Bishkek, Oct. 26, 2018. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held a working meeting with the participation of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic Rayimberdi Duyshenbiev and Chairman of the State Committee on Defense Affairs of Erlis Terdikbaev.
Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Damir Sagynbaev also took part in the meeting, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.
Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Rayimberdi Duishenbiev presented the information on the activities of the Armed Forces, as well as measures taken to strengthen the country's defense capability.
The head of state noted the inadequate work of commanders to ensure the proper execution of military duties by the military personnel, as well as law and order.
He said that the recent increase in the number of facts of military crimes adversely affect the image of the army. These facts are due to the unprofessional work of commanders in the training of personnel, the lack of an effective system for the prevention of military offenses, he said.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Kyrgyz Republic was instructed to hold a meeting with the command of the Armed Forces of the country and take comprehensive measures to prevent future military crimes.
In addition, the issues of military-technical cooperation and development of enterprises of the defense industry complex of the republic were discussed.
