Bishkek, July 4, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, July 4 President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov held an online meeting with Heath Minister of the country Sabirzhan Abdikarimov.
Abdikarimov reported on the current epidemiological situation in the country and measures taken to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, the Kyrgyz President’s press service said.
Jeenbekov once again congratulated health workers of the country on their professional holiday.
"Today, a large army of doctors, forgetting about themselves and haven’t seen their families in months are saving the health and lives of our citizens. We express our deep gratitude to our doctors," the Kyrgyz leader said.
He drew the minister's attention to the need for analysis of the situation and its timely forecasting in order to take prompt decisions.
Jeenbekov once again stressed the need to mobilize medical personnel.
In addition, the President underlined the importance of market control to prevent shortages or artificial growth of prices for medicines and medical products.
"Such cases cannot be left unpunished. The Financial Police is working in this direction. The Health Ministry is also obliged to monitor regularly and provide information promptly," the head of state stressed.
He also noted that doctors' salaries should be paid regularly and without delays, and the supply and quality of food for medical workers should be constantly monitored by the minister.
Sabirzhan Abdikarimov reported that according to an agreement with university rectors, about 70 senior students of medical faculties were involved in the work, and another 30 students were involved in the work of the emergency services.
Also, in the framework of implementation of Kyrgyzstan’s Security Council’s decisions, 4 medical inpatient centers with 7 thousand additional beds for primary medical care have been organized in Bishkek, where doctors and nurses will be sent.
In addition, under a pilot project all information received from all hospitals is being entered into the database for recording free beds in specialized places for coronavirus patients.
